Join me in supporting real change. Let's support good in the world and make a difference. Help us invest in the next generation of healthcare leaders for Campus Pride.

The Campus Pride-Medical School Index (CP-MSI) is a measurement tool developed to assist medical schools in creating an inclusive, welcoming institutional climate in academic medicine for all individuals with diverse sexual and gender identities, including administrators, faculty, staff, residents, and medical students. The Index is part of the overall Campus Pride Index (CPI), which assists campuses in benchmarking inclusive policies, programs and practices across campus for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer and questioning (LGBTQ) individuals. The CP-MSI seeks to provide a national standard of best practices in LGBTQ- and ally-inclusive policies and programs to improve the quality of educational experiences in academic medicine.

Campus Pride sought out leaders in LGBTQ health and medical education to address institutional climate issues in academic medicine. The Advisory Committee for the CP-MSI oversaw the development, implementation and participation in an annual review of the instrument for necessary changes or improvements of the instrument. Each advisory committee member served as a valued expert in academic medicine, ensuring a high quality of benchmarking measures to identify standards of practice in institutional climate. In addition, the thoughtful feedback of each member provided continued improvements in the assessment tool. The Advisory Committee is comprised of: Drs. Kristine M. Diaz (chair); Kristen L. Eckstrand; John A. Davis; Jonathan Appelbaum; Mitchell R. Lunn; Laura Erikson-Schroth; and Jessica Lapinski.

We are seeking funding to assist in the next steps in the implementation of this innovative assessment tool in academic medicine:

  1. Creation of Campus Pride Medical School Index Platform.
  2. Creation of Campus Pride Medical School Index information landing webpage and resources.
  3. Support for sustainability of Campus Pride Medical School Index as a free assessment tool for medical schools (both allopathic and osteopathic medical schools).

Just a small donation will go a long way to helping us meet our goal for the Campus Pride Medical School Index. Be a part of innovation!
